Dunedin Dine Around 2018
There is never a dull moment in Dunedin!
The level of hospitality, the quality of the venues and the refreshing atmosphere of downtown remind us that there is more to Pinellas county than just Clearwater Beach, St. Petersburg or Tarpon Springs. And it is a city that knows its food and how to party in style! We look forward to this event every year and it never cease to surprise us. There is always something new; a new beer, a new flavor and, of course…BINGO!
We started the night with a quick reception at the Dunedin House of Beer, where we were offered a selection of their crafted libations accompanied by the taste of fresh gumbo, carefully mastered by our friends at Happy’s Bayou Bites. We thank Rick and Andy, as well as Happy Jordan, for a sweet start of our evening. We had the pleasure to tour the brewery across the street and tried some of their fresh brews before we continued our walk pass the brewery, for a pleasant stop at the Lucky Lobster Co. There, Tom and Jennifer presented us with a delicious treat of lobster pizza and wine, which was a delight to our palate. After this, we head over to Blur on Main St. for Drag Queen Bingo! This has become A MUST and something we look forward to. Always a fun time among cocktails, queens and colleagues! Thank you Bob and our hostesses Traila Parks and Monica Moore for the laughs and the cheers! A short walk from there, Casa Tina was our next stop. They have amazing food, great margaritas and an ambiance that blows people away. The décor is just…WOW! Linnea and Tina were very accommodating and explained to us the concept of the venue in detail. Great experience! Going back through the Pinellas Trail, we ended up at the Dunedin Brewery on Douglas Ave, where Michael and Kandi welcomed us with a selection of their drafts as well as some “munchies” to make our taste buds crave for more. All in all, a remarkable evening!
Our heartfelt gratitude to those who made this event possible, from the hosts to the servers to the queens and the cooks and our very own Wendy Barmore, for your time and effort. Not that I need an excuse to visit Dunedin more often, but it is you all that make the good time sound louder than the bagpipes! Until next time! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
